Alexandra Wolfe

Alexandra Wolfe studied the SF classics while sharpening pencils and ostensibly working for a living as an assistant editor with HarperCollins in what is considered the drizzle capital of the world, London. This was way back in the day when the dinosaurs still roamed the earth or, to be more exact, the early 80s. She then moved to New York, she will tell you, to escape the rain, where she worked for people who expected her to spel corectly and typ efficently in engrish.
During the late 80s through to the nineties, Alexandra moved up in the world from assistant editor, to editor, and sideways, to production editor and in between, also did three years as a magazine production editor with the high-street magazines, Pro-Rally, Parent and the hugely successful music magazine, Mojo.
She also remembers a time when she and her writing partner had the BBC and Channel Four actually offering them money, printed on honest to goodness legal paper with the Queen’s head on it. During this time, she was also the senior editor of the SF magazine Quantum Edge, and was the publishing editor for her own SF ezine, Quark’s News.
Her first short story, The Dark, was published back in the 80s. Since then she has gone on to write numerous short stories and articles, several novellas and a couple of really long novels. A complete listing of her current work can be viewed on her web site: Fantastical Flights of Fiction.
She is the Publishing Editor over at the humorous spec-fiction website the WRY WRITER, as well as a founding member of the speculative fiction writer’s collective the HIVE MIND. Alexandra is also the Publishing Editor and owner of the lesbian literary web site, KISSED BY VENUS.
With 28 years of accumulated experience in the print and publishing trade behind her, Alexandra currently lives and works as an editor in Quebec City, Canada, and speaks two words in French. Bonjour and Salut. As a result, she gets by with a lot of sign language.
Her publishing company is Rocket Dog Press.
